Employees who are members of the CMPS

scheme are eligible for pension.
What is the minimum service required
for pension eligibility?

Pension eligibility depends upon the qualifying
service prescribed under the applicable pension
scheme and relevant amendments. In general,
10 years of pensionable service is the minimum
qualifying service for CMPS Pension eligibility.
At what age can a member
claim superannuation
pension?

A member becomes eligible for superannuation
pension on attaining the retirement age as
prescribed under the scheme/SoPs and order
issued by this office.
How is pension amount
calculated?

Pension is calculated on the basis of average
emoluments of last ten month, pensionable
service, and other factors specified under the
scheme.
How much time does
pension settlement take?

Pension cases are processed after verification of
service records, contribution details, and
supporting documents. As per citizen charter
issued, any kind of claims should be settled within
thirty days subject to eligibility and availability of
supporting documents.
Why has pension not been
credited in the bank
account?

Possible reasons may include:
- Bank account mismatch
- IFSC/account number error
- Non-submission of life certificate
- KYC mismatch
- Pending verification of records

family pension subject to scheme provisions.
Can pension be restored if
it has been stopped?

Yes, after resolving the reason for stoppage
(such as non-submission of life certificate or
document mismatch), pension may be restored
subject to removal of the reason for stoppage.
What should a pensioner
do in case of incorrect
pension amount?

The pensioner may submit a representation to
the concerned CMPF regional office for
verification of service and contribution records.
